Fractured Prune to open in Shrewsbury

Fractured Prune Doughnuts, the Ocean City, Maryland-based chain, will open its first York County location at 6 a.m. Thursday in Shrewsbury.

The shop is located at 640 Shrewsbury Commons Ave. in the Shrewsbury Commons shopping center.

The first 100 people through the door Thursday morning will receive a scratch-off prize card. Twenty winners will receive the top prize of one dozen doughnuts per month for a year, franchise owner Steven Hagee said.

Dickey's Barbecue coming to W. Manchester, Hanover

Hagee, a Shrewsbury resident, is looking to open up to two other Fractured Prune shops in York County.

He has the option to open as many as five in southcentral Pennsylania, including the Shrewsbury location, he said.
